Our Food
All meals are carefully cooked and prepared on the premises ensuring that all children’s nutrition needs are balanced and healthy. We encourage children to enjoy a variety of foods including lots of fruit and vegetables.
If children have any specific diets, dislikes or allergies to any foods, parents are required to inform us in writing on registration. We use organic food as much as possible.
Our Clothes
We recommend that children wear clothing, which is suitable for an active child’s day and the weather. Naming clothes is recommended to avoid any confusion. A change of clothes must be brought in the child’s bag each day. Parents are required to provide their own child’s nappies. Children are provided with a smock when they start.
Online Journal
We maintain a close relationship with you through an online nursery management system which you can log onto from your phone, and see what your child has been doing with us. This includes information on the activities your child has participated in and enjoyed that day, what they have eaten at lunch and snack, nappy changes and any other information that may be relevant.
It is linked with the EYFS so your child’s development is monitored daily. We also send out a weekly topic sheet to keep you informed. Yearly Reports are written along with one on their first term to make sure we pick up any developmental concerns quickly and can act on them.
Children have a scrap books with photos and their art work made by their child’s key worker, these are given out when your child leaves.
Settling In
Some children settle in straight away, others will take more time. I advise that a parent should never leave without saying goodbye.
Initially parents are encouraged to stay with their child for short periods at first to offer a reassuring presence. Two settling visit will be organised before your child starts.
